Sending a gift to a hospital
Carriers deliver to the hospital receiving area, not usually to the bedside. Staff bring the package to the room when they can. Weekend deliveries can sit until the next staffed day. Put the patient name and room number in the address if the hospital gave you one.
What travels well
Sealed snacks, fruit, and bakery items are simpler than anything that needs a refrigerator the moment it arrives. If a gift needs an ice pack, checkout will say so and express shipping is required.
